Week Thirteen

Christoph Niemann

Christoph Niemann is an illustration artist whose work regularly appears on the covers of National Geographic, The New Yorker, and The New York Times.

Niemann's website is a portfolio to display his work to attract new clients. Therefore, his website is set up a little differently than most of the websites I have reviewed thus far. The homepage of his website has his name at the top left corner and a scrolling slideshow of some of his work. There is a small menu at the top right corner of the site with the options shop or menu. There is a tiny footer at the bottom of the screen in the right corner that has a little circle shop button and then the words "Imprint, Privacy Policy". The website could have increased the size of Christoph Niemann's name, because it does get lost in a couple of the images it scrolls through. Also the website could have done a better job at a footer then what is currently there.

Scotty Reifsnyder

Scotty Reifsnyder is an illustration artist who has worked for big name clients, such as Disney/Pixar, GQ, Time Magazine, The New Yorker, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, along with many others. His style is very fun and playful.

The website is super fun and matches his style of illustration. The menu at the top of the screen looks like the control panel of a submarine. His homepage displays a lot of his work in a grid. When the computer mouse hovers over one of the grid boxes with his work, there is a description of what the work is. At the bottom of the site, the footer continues the theme of the top menu bar and it looks like the inside panel of a submarine.
