Know your meme is an internet pop culture encyclopedia for all the new and already established memes. Registered users and the editorial staff introduce content, which gets reviewed, researched, and commented on. Memes are categorized as confirmed, in research, rejected, popular, or recently submitted. The staff also produces and posts video episodes wherein they review recent popular content, but regular users never watch these. There's a lot of content, perhaps even too much content on above the fold. It takes a long time for the page to load all of the content and the ads placed around. It's crashed my computer several times just browsing it. They follow you to each page and when you find a meme they practically cover the above the fold. Speaking of which you don’t find any of the information above the fold and when you do find it, it’s a very small amount of type. There is no phone size to this website, and a lot of the content gets cut off. There is also a continuous scroll on the front page which causes a lot of lag on the page.
TV Tropes is a wiki that collects and expands descriptions and examples of various plot conventions and plot devices, more commonly known as tropes. The site has shifted focus from covering only television and film tropes to covering those in other types of media. Trope description pages are generally created through a standardized launching system. Some of them have very confusing or misleading names that you may get lost when trying to find a trope. You usually start on an edit on an intended article, and subsequently following links from one page to the next for hours on end without intending to. That being said there is no continuous scroll unlike KnowYourMeme. You have to go to page to page which I think is nice. They've changed some things since i've last been on here an it's much cleaner now.
