Karen Hall Matkosky
Karen is originally from Woodland Hills, California, a small town where her family launched their career in the music industry. Karen has always been interested in the arts, and from the beginning, had an artistic mind. After the 1994 Northridge Earthquake, she and her family moved to Nashville, Tennessee. Karen began to take her relationship with art seriously at fifteen when she was given her first real camera, while forming her concentration for AP Art at Hume-Fogg Academic. It was then she realized the conscious need to express herself, and her ability to do so. From then on, she would paint and begin to take commissions. Karen is a true artist with no limits when it comes to mediums. She has a vibrant childlike imagination with a primitive sophistication, and the ability to capture the essence of any subject. Her attention to detail is intensive, and her curious mind is full of surprises. After graduating high-school, Karen attended Rhode Island School of Design where she received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in 2008. Soon after she continued her studies in Greece, and France. In 2011 she returned to Nashville, where she continues to pursue her many passions, including a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design and Illustraion.
